In a recent project, Argo Sistemas completed a significant installation for a key client. This installation involved integrating the PermaMass® FEATHERWEIGHT into the client’s Kidde-Fenwal fire suppression system, which is responsible for safeguarding critical infrastructure through continuous monitoring of 42 x 100 lb CO2 cylinders.
The need for continuous monitoring arises from the fact that any undetected loss of agent could severely compromise the effectiveness of the fire suppression system. CO2 cylinders, typically arranged in two rows in this setup, are pivotal in containing any potential fire threats. For this reason, Argo Sistemas implemented a reinforced racking system to bear the weight of these large cylinders and selected the PermaMass® FEATHERWEIGHT for its exceptional real-time monitoring capabilities.
The installation process was carried out smoothly and without disrupting the ongoing operations of the client’s fire safety system. The PermaMass® FEATHERWEIGHT was seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure. The system was operational, providing round-the-clock monitoring of agent levels in the CO2 cylinders.
By utilising advanced sensor technology, the PermaMass® FEATHERWEIGHT continuously tracks both mass and pressure, immediately detecting any drop in agent levels. This capability is critical in environments where high-value assets and human safety are at risk.
