We are proud to announce that we are the winners of the prestigious Queen’s Award for International Trade, for Outstanding Continuous Growth in overseas sales over the last six years.
We would like to thank all those who judged us worthy of such an award, and to our CEO, our team, our suppliers and of course customers who have helped us achieve this over the last 6 years.
We see this as a culmination of our vision:
Our mission is to deliver safety for life, assets and infrastructure on land and at sea through our concepts called Safesite® and Safeship®: developing a range of mutually supporting products, systems, software and through-life customer service. Our aim is to become an “ideas factory” in ultrasonics, developing and growing out from our current expertise in liquid level indication, seal integrity and areas of condition monitoring, coming from our background in fire safety and watertight/compartment integrity.
We export 89% of our output to 109 countries, support our customers through our global network of strategic partners and ODA service stations, and digital presence.
We understand the opportunities of international trade and have spent 25 years travelling to 30+ countries annually across a variety of advanced and emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, Africa and South America. 40% of our exports go to Asia and the USA is our lead national market.
We know the challenges of working internationally, which is why we value our people so highly. We recruit some of the UK’s best young talent through our Student Engagement Programme. We also provide second/third career opportunities for those later in life wishing to transition into a role offering the chance for fulfilment, through upskilling and independence.
Committed to innovation, we are proud to design and manufacture in Britain. We are honoured to be partners with the GREAT campaign and for our CEO to be a Department for International Trade Export Champion, Expert Panel Member at the Department for International Development , member of the UK-USA SME Dialogue and a Decision-Making Panel member of the Bank of England. We encourage all other businesses to export – there is a world of opportunity.

Dear Coltraco Customers, Strategic Partners and Distributors,
Integrity is our defining value. Performance is its consequence. We understand that our customers have choices, and how we perform determines whether customers choose us. Coltraco’s Code of Ethics does not merely require compliance with laws. It embodies a Commitment to positive behaviours that build trust, promote respect, operate with distinction, with courtesy and global levels of performance, demonstrating our integrity and delivering customer performance.
We honour our commitments, communicate transparently, and act with honour. Ethics are the foundation of our performance culture and our science-based approach. We lead in specific technologies delivering the watertight integrity monitoring of marine structures and the monitoring of fixed liquefied gaseous fire extinguishing systems and the room integrity of protected space to ensure agent hold-times post-installation. We show this by our understanding of the science in them and the mathematics that explain them.
I would like to thank you for your business and for the relationships with our Customers, Strategic Partners, Distributors and ODAs who we value so highly.
My kindest regards,
Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter BA(Dunelm) Hon DSc FRINA FIMarEST MRAeS
