HMS Queen Elizabeth sailed into Portsmouth, UK Wednesday 17th August 2017 to great acclaim.
The Prime Minister Theresa May reinforced the might of Britain as a maritime nation in her address: “Britain truly has the best sailors, marines and officers in the world and I believe that you deserve the very best equipment. That is what we have with HMS Queen Elizabeth. This ship is a symbol of the United Kingdom as a great global, maritime nation”.
First Sea Lord, Admiral Philip Jones, shared “Navies are strategic in nature. @HMSQNLZ will sit at the heart of our defence for 50 years. Today is a triumph of national ambition.” (Above photo credit)
We at Coltraco Ultrasonics are proud to be operating with the Royal Navy and the broader shipping industry. The Government strategy to improve trade, and specifically the maritime sector through the likes of such as the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Maritime & Ports which we are engaged with, is being supported and aided by associations including the UK Chamber of Shipping, SMI, SSA, IMPA and others.
The Royal Navy posted this video to commemorate the occasion and really shows the scale of the vessel.
