Ultrasound Is More Accurate

With thanks to Mr Seiji Uehara for this video which clearly demonstrates the benefits of using an ultrasonic liquid level indicator rather than using radioactive level indicator.

In this short video it is seen that using ultrasound allows for a much more accurate and precise indication of the liquid level of agent. (Application: 50kg FM200 Cylinder @25°, with a Portalevel MAX)

Ultrasound Is Safe to Use

Radioactive level indicators are also damaging and banned in many countries. Unlike ultrasound which is free of harm, the isotopes in the indicators can be damaging to users and require rigorous control. Radioactive-sourced level indicators are damaging to health and subject to IATA transportation, licensing and storage requirement. Our ultrasonic technology is safe, clean and not restricted with proven benefits:

“It was always a headache to find an excellent liquid level indicator for gaseous fire extinguishing agents while I was working at Siemens Korea where I was responsible for the industrial plant market as a managing director. Korea has been using radioactive liquid level indicators for gaseous fire extinguishing systems such as CO2, FM-200, NOVEC, FE-13, and HFC-125, but the specific radioactive LLI has caused a lot of problems in Korea, partly due to the proper radioactive source handling and removal issue and the necessity of hiring a radiation expert at each company. There seemed to be no alternatives to the radioactive LLI until I have found these wide range of wonderful, safe-to-use, and environmentally-friendly LLI models of Coltraco.” – Andrew Kim

“Safety for Safety’s Sake” is what we strive to bring to all our technology as our mission is delivering the Safesite: protecting people, assets and infrastructure. We wish to enable people to inspect systems safely.

Ultrasound is Cheaper

As well as being safer, ultrasonic liquid level indicators are also far cheaper than radioactive indicators. As a policy, Coltraco Ultrasonics will never be beaten on price and will match and beat any competitor quote. Coltraco’s ultrasonic liquid level indicators, the Portalevel® range, are not only cheaper than radioactive indicators themselves, but come with free training, ease of transportation and no licensing requirements.
