“In the next five months of this year, Coltraco Ultrasonics will be bringing to production 18 new instruments and systems and exporting them to 120 countries and sat in 2020 as one of thirty businesses on the Government’s Economic Recovery Task Force. Yet, on the 11 March 2020 we lost 50% of our customer markets. What follows is the story of how we pivoted in light of the pandemic, ensured survival, then adapted to thrive through adversity.
We believe the measures taken by our business can be a blueprint the UK Government can learn from to support other businesses in the post-COVID-19 recovery phase and the challenges faced by exporter-innovator businesses must be addressed by the UK Government if it is to meet its ambitions in support exports and innovation.”
