At Coltraco Ultrasonics we are proud that our island nation has committed to a strong Navy with the impressive new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth whose historic launch from Rosyth is due today. A day marking crucial values of UK technology, innovation, manufacturing and dedication to our Nation.
Fire safety and watertight integrity are some of the critical areas which will undergo tests in the next 6 weeks by the 1,000 sailors and contractors onboard. “Crew have spent hours each day carrying out safety drills for fires, flooding and personnel overboard. More than 650 doors and hatches have been checked to ensure they are watertight and fire safe.”
Coltraco Ultrasonics were invited by Antigua to speak at the IMO in February about these areas of fire safety and watertight integrity to highlight the need for raising awareness about the risks, the issues with current inspection methods and the possibilities that new technology offers now and in the future with constant monitoring.
