Welcome to Coltraco Ultrasonics’ range of portable Liquid Level Indicators.
We pride ourselves in our UK made, high-quality, reliable, and accurate instrumentation designed for fire suppression systems such as CO2, FM-200™, NOVEC™ 1230, Halons and a wide variety of other clean agents.
We have been developing non-invasive level detection technology for over 30 years and are proud leaders in this field.
Welcome to Coltraco Ultrasonics’ range of Ultrasonic Watertightness and Leak Detection Systems.
We pride ourselves on the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our instruments – all made in the UK.
Our watertight integrity leak detectors use ultrasound to monitor the watertight integrity of any room or compartment, with the capability to locate leak sites as small as 0.5mm in diameter. They are commonly used for watertight integrity testing of hatch covers, watertight doors, multi-cable transit (MCT) areas across bulkheads in marine structures.
Ultrasonic Watertight Integrity Testing
Our Portascanner® range of ultrasound testing systems are powerful, portable tools to aid you in your watertight integrity testing procedures.
At Coltraco, we pride ourselves on our UK-made instruments’ quality, reliability, and accuracy, including ultrasonic flow meters. Our ultrasonic flow meter technology has been tested and calibrated at an ISO 17025 laboratory, meeting an accuracy of +/- 0.5% of the true flow rate.
Using non-invasive technology, our transit time flow meters have significant advantages over inline flow meters by reducing installation cost, risk, and downtime for your flow rate measurements.
At Coltraco, we’re proud to provide quality, reliable, and accurate ultrasonic thickness gauges. Made in the UK, these products have been tested and calibrated according to BS EN 15317:2013 standards on a calibrated carbon steel block manufactured to EN ISO 2400:2012 and ISO 7963:2006 standards.
This range of ultrasonic thickness measurement tools is used widely in non-destructive testing with an accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm. Our multi-echo ultrasonic thickness gauges can ignore paint layers up to 20 mm thick, making measuring material thickness straightforward.
Introducing a revolutionary way of monitoring industrial compressed gases such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Chlorine, Ammonia, and Hydrogen as well as fire suppression inert gases like Inergen™ and Argon, using the world’s first contents monitoring system based on non-invasive pressure detection. The system employs cutting-edge technologies such as pressure testing, pressure monitoring, pressure sensors and content monitoring to enable the detection of changes in gas pressure and losses in gas contents accurately, quickly, and non-invasively.
At Coltraco Ultrasonics, we take pride in providing top-quality, reliable, and accurate instruments, all manufactured in the UK. With this new technology, we now offer portable and fixed solutions for monitoring inert gases, CO2, and other clean agent fire systems’ contents. With our innovative gas pressure monitoring solutions, you can now easily and effectively monitor your industrial compressed gases.
Our pressure monitoring systems can be used in various industries, such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, power generation, oil and gas, manufacturing, environmental monitoring, mining, chemicals, transportation, agriculture, construction, textile, aerospace, refrigeration, and many more. These are industries where industrial compressed gases and inert gas fire suppression systems are commonly used.
Coltraco Ultrasonics are global leaders in the monitoring of liquefied and non-liquefied gaseous extinguishing systems that protect high-asset value installations and critical national infrastructure.
Coltraco Ultrasonics specialises in advanced testing equipment tailored to suit the requirements of marine fire suppression systems, providing reliable, noninvasive solutions for the marine industry’s unique challenges. Our equipment ensures that critical fire suppression systems, including those using CO2, NOVEC™ 1230, FM-200™, and non-flammable liquids, remain fully operational to safeguard vessels, crew, and cargo from fire hazards. Coltraco’s marine fire suppression testing tools deliver precision and efficiency, making them an essential component of onboard fire protection systems.

We take pride in our UK-manufactured, high-quality, reliable, and accurate systems that continuously monitor critical fire suppression systems. These include Inert gases, CO2, FM-200™, and NOVEC™ 1230, ensuring 24/7 protection and peace of mind.
Our systems are designed with a deep understanding of the dielectric constant of the materials involved, allowing for precise monitoring and measurement. Typical applications of our technology extend across various sectors, requiring reliable fire suppression and ensuring safety in mission-critical environments.
With over 30 years of expertise in developing instrumentation technology, we proudly lead the field in continuous monitoring solutions.
Welcome to Coltraco Ultrasonics’ range of Ultrasonic Tank Liquid Level Indicators.
We take pride in the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our UK-made instruments.
Our Ultrasonic Tank Liquid Level Indicators are non-invasive and designed to measure liquid levels through the external side walls of your tank. Unlike conventional ultrasonic level sensors inserted from the top and measuring liquid levels from the top down, our systems provide accurate readings from the side wall without needing internal installation.
These indicators are suitable for various applications, including measuring the levels of water, oils, wastewater, fuel, and other liquids. They accommodate tanks with a maximum depth or diameter of 15 metres.
At Coltraco, we provide a wide range of air-tightness testing equipment, including the Portascanner® and Portascanner® Airtight. We’re proud of our UK-built instruments’ quality, reliability, and accuracy, which adhere to UK building regulations. Paired with qualified air testers, our products can test a room’s internal pressure differences and give you the needed data!
Our air leakage detection systems use ultrasound to undertake air tightness tests of any room or compartment, with the capability to locate leak sites as small as 0.5mm in diameter.
This air-tightness test equipment uses ultrasound, a recognised non-destructive testing method, to determine airtight integrity by helping you locate specific leak sites. Our products can also test the amount of air leaving the room through gaps in the building envelope. Air tightness testing is a great way to determine whether you have passive ventilation!
Welcome to Coltraco Ultrasonics’ range of Ultrasonic Watertightness and Leak Detection Systems perfect for testing hatch covers, performing chalk tests and checking vessel’s hatch covers, cargo hold and hatch cover joints.
We pride ourselves on the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our ultrasonic testing instruments – all made in the UK.
Ideal for detecting leaking hatch covers, hatch coamings and any hatch cover gasket.
Our Portascanner® range of ultrasound testing systems are powerful, portable tools to aid you in your watertight integrity testing procedures. In our opinion it’s the most accurate ultrasonic test, air test and hatch cover tester on the market.
