We are proud to work with the Royal Navy to engineer the innovation of our unique watertight integrity and pressurised gaseous extinguishing monitoring technologies. Our Navy are themselves extraordinary innovators bringing to the world the first aircraft carrier, HMS Argus in 1918, and a century later, in 2018, the world’s first 5th generation aircraft carrier in HMS Queen Elizabeth. In 1915 the RN developed the world’s first anti-submarine sonar known as ASDIC – the Admiralty Submarine Detection Investigation Committee. The Navy developed the world’s first carrier “ski-jump” for Harrier aircraft in 1973. The RN pioneered the world’s modern submarine periscope in 1902. The first practical radar system was developed in 1935.
In 1866 the RN pioneered the world’s first torpedo. Most proudly the UK become the USA’s first Tier 1 Partner nation in the development of the world’s first 5th generation F-35B aircraft serving this year aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth. We are proud and honoured to provide the Royal Navy with the world’s first portable Portalevel ultrasonic liquid level indicators used to contents monitor their pressurised Halon systems in the 1990’s and to support the Royal Navy today.
