We are thrilled to continue our Student Engagement Programme 2020

During COVID-19 we are proud to continue our commitment to engaging young talent in the UK. We have close relationships with Durham University – one of the leading UK universities, as well as Warwick and Reading.

We welcome several students who are joining us for Summer Internships: Daniel from Durham, Jack from Reading. We also have a postgraduate student from the Durham University Business School working on a project about women in business which will fulfil part of our MBA.

Students benefit from real professional work experience, which is paid well above the UK national minimum wage. We invite students to support our technological innovation in Research & Development as well as market research, customer communications, operations and other roles.

It is a privilege for us at Coltraco Ultrasonics to foster young talent. We endeavour to ensure diversity and inclusivity throughout the programme.

We would like to thank the team at Durham University who assist us. It is a fundamental part of our commitment to the Northern Powerhouse.

Research & Development Intern

Daniel is working with the Research & Development Team full time this Summer, building on his part-time work previously and shares his experience:

“As a Student Intern for Coltraco, I’m working 10 hours a week – a perfect amount of time alongside my studies. I’m in regular contact with the head of R&D at the company who is fantastic at quickly resolving any questions I may have, and when required we have had remote video calls to catch up.

“Each week, I write a short summary of my work to send to the CEO, which is also my opportunity to ask him any questions (work or career related). Through this I’ve been able to practice writing with brevity, and hugely appreciate the mentorship I am treated to.

“The project I’ve been given has allowed me to apply my subject knowledge, whilst it has kept me interested with implementation challenges.”
