We are proud to support the Armed Forces.
We are grateful to attend the Trooping of the Colour, or The Troop, as it is called in the Household Division. We have a wide array of military and naval links in our family from the Northumberland Fusiliers to the Royal Green Jackets, from the Royal Navy to the Royal Marines and the Merchant Marine and on to the Royal Engineers.
In 2018, we signed the Armed Forces Covenant. The Covenant aims to support serving personnel, veterans and military families. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by supporting companies and personnel, ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly. So far, over 1,500 businesses have signed the covenant.
Today in a Global Britain age and at a time when the rules-based international order which has done so much to generate the global stability and security for 70 years, which the UK helped create and is so vital to the UK’s national interest and the global interest is being threatened, we look to a future of permanent UK Naval presence across the world’s oceans which carry 96% of global trade and are the world’s real “superhighway”. We warmly support the Armed Forces as we do all who serve in British public service.
