Portalevel® ADVANCED quickly and accurately determines the liquid level in a wide range of liquefied fire suppression agents, including CO2, FM200™, and NOVEC™1230, using a novel sensor that directs ultrasound around the circumference of the cylinder.
The integrated signal viewer provides a real-time, oscilloscope-like display of the ultrasound signal, allowing users to observe the signal’s response and visually confirm gas/liquid phase transitions. This added clarity supports more precise identification of the liquid level, making measurements quicker and more reliable, delivering accuracy within ±1% of the true liquid level in cylinder diameters ranging from 110mm to 700mm.
The combination of the Portalevel® ADVANCED and Portasteele® CALCULATOR uses our decades of experience in ultrasonic liquid level indication and collaboration with fire suppression system manufacturers to allow a user to clearly determine the agent weight from the liquid level without having to physically weigh the cylinder. Traceability to agent weight remains the only way a user can verify liquid level height measurements as only the agent weight is printed on the cylinder label.
All measurements are saved and recorded with time & date stamp, for effective audit trail and compliance with relevant ISO regulations where agent weight is required to be reported. Any fluctuations in liquid level because of temperature changes is automatically accounted for in the calculations.
